Surgery Latest November 2015

Newsletter January 2016

We are introducing a new initiative to help people find the most appropriate source of help when they book an appointment. Please see our 'Care Navigation' page on the appointments link for more details.

Doctor appointments

The usual consultation time is for 10 minutes. These can be booked at reception up to 2 weeks ahead or up to 4 weeks ahead by your GP when planning a review.

Urgent GP and Nurse appointments on weekday evenings and at weekends

GP practices in Sheffield are working together to test a range of ways to improve access to general practice. If you feel you need to be seen urgently, but would struggle to get to the surgery during our opening hours, we can access later appointments for you locally, so please ring and we will book these. You will need to ask to speak to a GP first.

For more information about this service pleae see the link below.

Cancelling Appointments

Please help us to help you. If for some reason you need to change or cancel your appointment, please telephone the surgery as soon as possible. When appointments are not kept, it prevents another patient from being seen. We routinely write letters to patients who do not attend or cancel their appointments. If you are signed up for Patient Access then you can log on to your account and cancel appointments online.

Over 75s

If you are over 75 and would like an annual health check, please contact reception to make an appointment.

Telephone Consultations

We use this time to give telephone advice, to organise visits and to arrange appropriate appointments for unwell patients. We have a duty doctor available everyday between 9.00am and 10.30am. Please telephone the surgery in the usual way and ask to speak to the duty doctor, if he/she is not available when you call you will be asked for your contact number and a brief description of you problem to help the duty doctor deliver this service, and the doctor will call you back.

Book/Cancel Appointments Online

You can now book/cancel appointments online via the link at the top of this page. (Please note that you will need to register for this service with reception.)
